Welcome Jari Evenepoel!
Meet Jari Evenepoel, a new Lytix team member who already has some experience in the data and analytics world. We are happy that he joined our Lytix team and are convinced he’s a perfect fit! Best of luck to you, Jari! 🍀
Why did you choose Lytix?
I have chosen Lytix because I believe it will be the ideal mix for me between a high-paced learning environment whilst also sharing my expertise with colleagues and clients. As I have already 5 years of professional experience under my belt I was really looking for a challenge that could push me to the next level. Many times I was the person responsible for BI, without any others to challenge me in my way of working. Not any longer, I believe, as the +100 people working for Lytix, Aivix or Cubis will surely challenge me in exciting ways. This doesn’t mean I start from scratch and so I will translate my love for cooperation, knowledge-sharing and training in my day to day as a consultant. Lytix was especially the one company on LinkedIn with high visibility through engaging blogs, enticing news posts or cool insights in their events so I am really looking forward to being part of this team.
What did you do before Lytix?
After college, I was really excited to take my first steps in my professional career without really having a set plan. I knew that hands-on projects were more my style but I never would have guessed I would lose my heart to the world of data, visualization and analytics like I have. The first touchpoints with this world came as the supply chain project coordinator at a company specialized in spare parts and accessories for forklift trucks, industrial vehicles, construction and agricultural machinery for the hubs in Bulgaria and Belgium. Exciting times but I wanted more knowledge in the tools and theory of data management. The next challenge I found was with a company diversified in floor covering, MDF and HDF boards and roof insulation as Master Data process lead, equal parts SAP-configuration of the Master Data as well as delivering analysis on the daily processes and engineering new ways to work.
Last but not least, I dived into the world of advertising as Yield Manager for a media company, an exciting challenge as I was able to combine my love for data analytics with strategy and business proposals. Three different tracks, three different visions but all of them grew my hunger to deliver more data analytics and insights projects in a wide array of topics, companies and industries.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
My personal favorite holiday destination is London. I went there on my own right after high school for a week, staying with a guest family who ordered me to act and live like a Londoner. There is something so much different when you stop looking at a city from the point of view of a tourist but instead look at it as a local. For now I extremely enjoy our family holidays with the children in Southern France though, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. When they are older, the farther and more exotic destinations will become available again and I am already warming them for the concept of road tripping across the US.
