Welcome Jurgen Secq!

A warm welcome to Jurgen Secq, who joined Lytix this Monday. With over 20 years of experience, Jurgen brings deep expertise and valuable insights to our team. We are proud to have him on board and excited about the experience he adds to Lytix. Time to get to know him a little better.

Why did you choose Lytix?

I chose Lytix because it quickly became clear that many people here share the same passion for data as I do. Being surrounded by people who genuinely enjoy discussing analytics is something I really value. The combination of passionate colleagues and an open, low-hierarchy environment makes Lytix a great place to work.

What did you do before joining Lytix?

I spent over 20 years at the same telecom company, taking on a wide range of roles — from process expert and project leader to team lead and management positions. In each role, I gained experience with different sides of the business, from improving processes and leading projects to managing teams and making operational decisions.

Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to working with data. The more I analyzed numbers and brought them to life through creative data visualizations and storytelling, the more I realized how much I enjoyed this work. It became not just my job, but also my passion.

If you could switch for a day with someone, who would it be and why?

If I could be anyone for a day, I would choose Alex Honnold. Not just for the climbing itself, but to experience the level of mental strength it takes to do what he does. He manages to stay calm, focused, and completely present for hours while taking on the most unbelievable and daring climbs in the world. I’d be curious to experience that mindset for a day, the clarity, discipline, and control it takes to perform at that level when the stakes couldn’t be higher.
