Welcome Thomas Gérard!

Introducing Thomas Gérard, the latest addition to the Lytix management team! Thomas was drawn to Lytix for its alignment with his own values and its focus on data-driven projects, mirroring his interests. With a rich history in financial data consulting and a strong interest for solving complex data challenges, Thomas is a valuable asset to our team. Read more about him via the Q&A below!

Welcome to the team and best of luck!

Why did you choose Lytix?

First, Lytix caught my attention because they specialize in my favorite kind of projects: helping clients to get maximum value out of their data. To do so, Lytix has a clear vision on how to do this fast at a reasonable price. For me, Lytix focusses on the most relevant technologies on the market (Microsoft, Databricks,…).

A second important argument was the colleagues. Before joining Lytix I had the opportunity to meet some of my future colleagues and it immediately felt like a good match (culture, vision,…)

What did you do before Lytix?

So far I spent my entire career in data consulting in the financial sector. I started at a major IT company as a functional analyst and ETL developer. I mainly worked on large Data Warehouse implementations. My last years I worked for a business consulting company where I covered all aspects of data management, often driven by new regulations (BCBS 239, GDPR,…).

Over the years I realized doing consulting on data topics is really my thing: solve complex problems, get the best results by working together with colleagues, create a lasting impact,…

If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be and what would you ask them?

Probably Kurt Cobain or Amy Winehouse, two of my favorite musicians that passed away too soon. I would ask them to play some music of course 😊
A friend of mine actually met Amy Winehouse when she was still working in a bar in the north of London. What an experience that must have been.
