Although Herta is from origin a German company it is now one of the most popular brands in France. Herta products can be found in 9 out of 10 fridges and is known by almost 92% of the French population. Herta is most famous for their high quality ham and recently they launched new gamma of pie crusts​.

The challenge

​After a take-over, the Herta IT landscape had to be carved out of the original Nestlé systems.​

This carve out created the opportunity to review the entire budget process that was:​

  • Complex (and thus difficult to adapt) ​
  • Time-consuming (which caused major inefficiencies)​
  • Not integrated with the reporting landscape (leading to data inconsistencies)​
  • Lacking a Forecast cycle(which reduced the possibility of reacting fast to changing market circumstances in a context of already low margins).​

Given the limited IT resources, cloud technology was a prereq.​
