VPK has three division: VPK Packaging is an international supplier of corrugated packaging VPK Paper produces high-quality recycled paper for packaging purposes Corex is a leading manufacturer of cores and tubes for industrial winding. In everything VPK does, the focus is on sustainability in its many forms (recycling, resource efficiency, etc)

The challenge

​VPK had a well established data & analytics environment, with as Front-end layer in Business Objects with SAP Analysis For Office & WebIntelligence.​

They sought to improve their analytical capabilities and especially were looking for more modern visualization layer to improve self service & dashboarding.​

Having a significant SAP footprint as well as a complete Microsoft Office license, they required advice both in choosing the tool of the future, as well as support on implementation.​

Our solution

  • ​Supporting/coaching role: By cocreation from the start, the customer can take ownership while being constantly supported by us.​
  • ​POC implementation of a Finance dashboard. ​
  • Train the Trainer: training of SAC key-users and SAC administrators. Complete training material to support end user training internally.​
  • Set up of Governance & Lifecycle management processes in SAC. ​
  • Technology advisory: An extensive analysis was made to compare SAC with Power BI. SAC was chosen because of it’s business focus and short time to value due to easy integration with existing IT solutions.​
